Minor League Baseball gets the throwback treatment once again with 2018 Topps Heritage Minors set to return early this fall.
Like the big league set that was released over the winter, Heritage Minors will carry a 1969 Topps theme. Each box will have 18 eight card packs that will include one autograph and one memorabilia card. There will also be a three-card box topper featuring glossy versions of the base card.
Base Set
The base card set will consist of 200 cards but there will be an unknown number of Base Card Short Prints that are not considered part of the main set. There will be Blue (# to 99); Black (# to 50), Team Name Color Change (# to 25) and 1/1 Red Border parallels to chase.
Autograph Cards
Autographs will be signed directly on the cards and come with the same parallels but there will be new Image Variations numbered to 50; Bazooka-themed autographs, also numbered to 50 with 1/1 Red Border parallels, Dual Autograph cards numbered to 20 and Deckle Edge Autographs numbered to 99. Topps also says there will be Color Image Variations of the Deckle cards numbered to 25.
Inserts
An insert in 1969, the Deckle Edge cards that were featured as an insert in the main Heritage set will return in Minors as will the Transogram-like cards.
Clubhouse Collection RElics will feature game-used jersey and bat swatches of some of the top prospects. They’ll have Blue (# to 99); Black (# to 50); Orange Patch (# to 25) and Red Patch (# to 1) parallels.
Cards of players joined by original 1969-minted coins will be part of the mix with Black Quarter parallels (# to 50); Red Quarter (1/1) and Auto Relic parallels numbered to 10.
2018 Topps Heritage Minors is set for release on September 26.
