One of the first high-end products of the NFL season arrives with 2018 Panini Impeccable football, which packs five autographs into each eight card box.
2018 Panini Impeccable Football Basics
With a release date of October 10, Impeccable showcases this year’s rookies in their new uniforms and a heavy dose of NFL legends. Autographed patch cards are the big selling point with all numbered to 75 or less.
Autographs
Panini promises at least one Rookie Patch Autograph per box, highlighted by Elegance-branded cards that offer an equipment room full of different relics inside including pieces of helmets, gloves, jersey nameplates and more. Helmet/Patch autos are numbered to 75; Helmet/Nameplate versions are numbered to 25; Helmet/Glove autos are numbered to 15 and Dual NFL Logo autos are 1/1.
From Elegance to….Extravagance, which showcase an oversized jersey swatch and an on-card autograph with base (# to 49 or less); Silver (25 or less), Gold (# to 10) and 1/1 Platinum and Printing Plate versions also in the mix.
Veteran and Retired Patch Autographs will include Silver (# to 25 or less); Gold (# to 10 or less) and 1/1 Platinum versions.

peaking of silver and gold…the biggest hits in Impeccable are the genuine Silver and Gold Insert pieces that are packed one per case, on average. Silver Super Bowls carry the logo of a game from the past (all numbered to 15) while the Broncos and 49ers are feted with the silver precious metal touch on cards of players like Joe Montana and John Elway. Last year, you’ll recall, Panini honored the Patriots, Packers, Steelers and Cowboys. NFL Shield Silver versions are numbered to 15 while 1/1 Gold versions are also in the chase.
Not all autographs will contain patches. Look for sticker autographs on the standard Rookie Autos with a slew of parallels including Red (# to 49); Silver (# to 25); Gold (# to 10), Emerald (# to 5) and 1/1 Platinum and Printing Plate versions.
A new addition to Impeccable are Masterstrokes autographed cards, which are numbered to 99 or less and feature a colorful art design.
Look for multi-autographed cards including dual, triple and quad versions, all serial numbered to 25 or less.
Presumably there’s a base set, but as of this writing, no information has been made available.
2018 Panini Impeccable Football is available online for $520-$550 per box.
