Once again packed in a tin box, 2018-19 Upper Deck Premier hockey will make its return later this season. It’s also getting a slight makeover, according to Upper Deck. There’s one less card per box but the price point is also coming down.
Look for the single six-card pack inside to contain at least two serial numbered rookie cards (no higher than 299); one Acetate Rookie auto patch numbered either 99 or 249; one additional autographed card (half will be numbered to 299 or less) and two memorabilia cards.
The base set will include Gold Spectrum parallels numbered to 99 and 1/1 Platinum parallels.
Upper Deck is emphasizing patch content with the 2018-19 edition of Premier, indicating that all jerseys used in the product will be game-worn, including those featuring rookies. Every memorabilia or auto-memorabilia card in the product features either over-sized swatches or multiple standard-sized swatches. The checklist of memorabilia cards will include star rookies 
Elias Pettersson, Rasmus Dahlinand Brady Tkachuk and Andrei Svechnikov alongside superstars such stars like Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews and Alex Ovechkin.
Upper Deck says half of the autographs in the product will be numbered to 99 or less. Three out of every five of the autographed cards will include an over-sized patch swatch.
Among the new elements this year will be Premier Attractions Auto Patches and Rookie Auto Patches, both numbered to 99 or less and 2003-04 Retro Rookie Signatures, featuring top rookies all numbered to 99.
Other major hits inside 2018-19 Upper Deck Premier hockey include Platinum Blue Autos – limited to three copies per card and Inked Script, with a checklist slated to include Elias Pettersson, Brady Tkachuk, Connor McDavid and Wayne Gretzky.
2018-19 Upper Deck Premier hockey is scheduled to release on June 26.
