This year’s flagship hockey card set is getting the acetate treatment. Set to arrive during the off-season, 2018-19 Upper Deck Clear Cut will be the latest in a string of products that feature just one autographed, encapsulated card per box.
Every box contains a hard-signed autograph and a sealed one-touch case. The checklist will be based on the cards that were issued in 2018-19 Upper Deck Series 1 & 2.
Among the attractions:
- Clear Cut Rookie Tribute cards, which are autographed acetate versions of some of the top images used on Upper Deck’s rookie cards during previous years (one in every 15 boxes).
- Embedded Endorsements will feature autos from top Rookies (# to 99) Veterans and Legends numbered to 99 and rare Gold and Orange parallels numbered as low as 3.
- Hockey Heroes Clear Cut Tribute Auto cards featuring all-time greats, including signed Header cards. The signed Header cards will reveal themselves only in every 400th box.
- Numbered Exclusives (# to 35), High Gloss (# to 10), Canvas (varied numbering) and One-of-One parallels.
Boxes are on eBay for a little over $80.
