Panini will attempt to fill the NBA void with the release of 2018-19 Encased Basketball.
Back for a second year as a summertime basketball release, Encased offers one graded autograph card, one additional autograph and two memorabilia cards per box on average. Every autograph in the product is numbered to 99 or less.
Rookie Endorsements, Rookie Scripted Signatures and Rookie Notable Signatures sets will feature graded autographed cards of the best rookies of the 2018 NBA Draft Class.
New this year are Rookie Jersey Autographs which feature a jersey swatch and an autograph. In addition to the regular versions numbered to 99, there will be parallels including Red (# to 25); Gold (# to 10); Green (# to 5) AND 1/1 Platinum.
Slabbed Signatures will include retired greats, current veterans and some rookies. Among the players who have signed cards for the product are Charles Barkley, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving,Shaquille O’Neal, Deandre Ayton, Marvin Bagley III, Luka Dončić and Trae Young.
In addition to Rookie Jersey Autographs, other autographed relic content includes Vaulted Veteran Material Signatures and Legendary Swatch Signatures.
SRP should be a little over $200 when 2018-19 Panini Encased basketball arrives July 26.
Boxes are available on eBay for around $220.
