The newest Laker is still under contract with Upper Deck, but LeBron or no LeBron, 2018-19 NBA Hoops will make its return as the tip-off product for a new season of Panini’s NBA trading cards this fall.
First launched in the late 1980s, this year’s edition of Hoops will offer 24 packs of eight cards with two autographs per box.
It’s the first pack product to showcase the 2018 NBA Draft class in their pro uniforms. This year’s base set will also have a tribute to past and present stars.
There will be 11 different hobby exclusive insert sets. Among them: Road to the Finals, a set that will include a card for every playoff game during the 2017-18 season with some more scarce than others. There will be a short printed Champions card honoring the Golden State Warriors.
Courtside will feature top photographs with the date they were taken. Backstage Pass will showcase players in behind the scenes moments you won’t get from watching highlights.
Auetographed cards include Hot Signatures, which will have veteran and rookie checklists with a Red Hot version, numbered to 25. Rookie Ink will carry signatures from the new first-year class that includes Deandre Ayton, Marvin Bagley III, Luka Doncic and Trae Young.
2018-19 NBA Hoops is scheduled for release on October 24.
