Collectors will flip their clocks back to burlap border time when 2017 Topps Heritage Baseball arrives on March 1. Due out one month after the release of 2017 Series One Baseball, Heritage will continue the ongoing annual salute to baseball card sets of the past, with 1968 Topps next on the agenda.
The 2017 Heritage set will again include 24 packs per box with retail cost expected to land at $60-65. Each box promises one autograph or relic card and one box loader insert. A gallery and full 2017 Topps Heritage Baseball checklist are at the bottom of the page.
2017 Topps Heritage Base Set
Topps plans a 500-card base set with 100 of those single printed high numbers. Base card parallels will include:
- Gray Back # to 10
- Bright Yellow # to 25
- Blue Border # to 50 (hobby only)
- Flip Stock # to 5 (hobby only)
One hundred cards will have Chrome variations and these parallels:
- Chrome Technology Refractors # to 568
- Blue Border # to 68
- Gold Border # to 5 (hobby only)
- Superfractor 1/1
- Hot Box Refractor (hobby only)
2017 Topps Heritage Autographed Relic Cards
- Clubhouse Collection – Single uniform and bat relic cards to be signed on-card by active players. Hand-numbered to low quantities.
- Autograph Patch Parallel – Hand-numbered 1/1 (hobby only).
- Clubhouse Collection Dual Auto Relics – A mixture of retired and active players featuring a relic piece and an on-card autograph. Hand-numbered (hobby only).
- Autograph Patch Parallel – Hand-numbered 1/1 (hobby only)
- Flashbacks Auto Relics – Retired subjects will sign on-card autographs. Card will feature a highlight from their 1968 season. Hand-numbered.
- Autograph Patch Parallel – Hand-numbered 1/1 (hobby only).
2017 Topps Heritage Autographed Cards
Real One Autographs – Retired and active players sign on-card autographs in blue ink. Select cards will feature players that appeared for the last time on a Topps card in 1968. Nolan Ryan and Johnny Bench, both rookies in the o
riginal set, will be prominently featured. A special dual autograph card numbered to 25, recaptures their original rookie card photos with autographs.

- Real One Dual Autos – A mixture of retired & active players sign on-card autographs in blue ink. Hand-n

- 1968 U.S. Postage Stamp Relics – Featuring a vintage photo of an event or player matched with a stamp from 1968. #’d to 50.

- 1968 Celebrity Cut Signatures – Featuring musicians and celebrities that were popular in 1968. #’d 1/1.

- 1968 Topps Game – A recreation of the only insert in the 1968 Topps Baseball Set (1:10 packs). The rookie cards will only be placed in boxes and packs sold at Target stores.
There will no doubt be some unannounced variations that try to mirror some of those in the 1968 Topps set.
