It’s back for another year. 2017 Topps Gold Label baseball will arrive in late August as a hobby-only product.
Topps will put five cards into each pack with seven packs per box at a price of around $60. There will be 16 boxes per case.
They’re making no promises you’ll put an autograph card from your box but on-card signatures will be in the product.
Gold Label will have a small player checklist, focused on big names, rookies and greats from the past. That checklist is linked below.
The design puts two images of the player on the front of the card.
One hundred different players will be included but there will be three versions: Class 1, 2 and 3 with different photos used for each. Each Class version will also have Black, Blue, Red and Gold parallels. Black will be the most common with the Gold versions 1/1.
Framed autographs and MLB Legend Relics will be the key hits beyond the low serial-numbered parallels.
The autos will have a 65-player checklist with Black (# to 99), Blue (# to 50), Red (# to 25) and Gold (1/1) parallels in the mix.
The MLB Legend Relics will drop at just one per case with Black (# to 5) and Gold (1/1) probably providing a much more difficult chase.
