Between 1996 and 2005, Topps Gallery was a perennial inclusion in the Topps baseball lineup. The cards featured impressive artwork of contemporary stars along with a Hall of Fame only set issued in 2003. However, for the past 12 years Topps elected not to produce a Gallery set. That all is set to change with the upcoming release of 2017 Topps Gallery baseball as a Walmart exclusive.
2017 Topps Gallery Basics
2017 Topps Gallery baseball will feature a checklist of 200 cards featuring current stars, rookies, and 50 short printed legends. The base card artwork was created by Mayumi Seto, who has a history of working on Topps products. Walmart will carry three configurations of the product: a Collector’s Box priced at $69.99 with 20 packs and two autographs; a $19.99 value box with seven packs and an exclusive four card Artist Proof pack; and a $5.99 fat pack with twelve cards including two exclusive Canvas parallels.
Parallels and Inserts
There is an abundance of parallels in 2017 Topps Gallery baseball with several being exclusive to the different product configurations. Familiar Topps color parallels are spread throughout the product and come in Green (#’d to 99), Blue (#’d to 50), Orange (#’d to 25), Red (1/1), and printing plates (1/1).

Hall of Fame Gallery will, of course, feature a checklist of hall of fame players included autographed versions. Masterpiece will feature current and retired players. Heritage will utilize a design inspired by 1951 Bowman. Lastly, Sketch cards featuring unique artwork of the base cards will be inserted.
