Topps will produce another single autograph per pack product on August 16. The company has announced plans for 2017 Topps Clearly Authentic baseball. The concept is somewhat similar to Archives Signature Series, which has been produced the past two seasons and will have an ‘Active Player Edition‘ in 2017.
Clearly Authentic will incorporate the base card design from 2017 Topps as well as some popular past designs into a product offering that delivers a single card/autograph per box.
Players will sign their autographs directly on the card and all autographed cards will be encased. On average every box guarantees one Clearly Authentic Autograph Card and every case guarantees two Clearly Authentic Reprint Autograph Cards.
A final checklist is below.
The Clearly Authentic Autographs side is heavy on rookies and the photos used will be different from those seen in the 2017 flagship design. Aaron Judge will have two different cards in the set.
There will be Green Parallel versions numbered to 99 or less; Red to 50 or less, Blue to 25 or less and 1/1 Gold mixed in.
Clearly Authentic Reprint Autographs will have one parallel version–a 1/1 Gold. Preliminary product information showcased a 1987-style Bo Jackson and 1992-themed Derek Jeter. Hank Aaron and Sandy Koufax have also signed for the product.
2017 Topps Clearly Authentic will arrive August 16. Boxes are available through dealers online for $50-$60 on pre-order.
