The blue box is back.
2017 Topps Sapphire Edition has been released, with the special edition set of 700 cards limited to 250 sets priced at $1,500 each.
The Chrome Sapphire set was first released last year and it’s once again being sold as an online exclusive (you can see cards from last year’s set on eBay here).
The cards are printed on Topps Chrome stock with a dash of blue color.
As was the case in 2016, this year’s set includes all 700 cards from the 2018 Topps flagship set (first and second series). Each box also includes five autographed rookie variations. The full autograph checklist is below but it does include cards signed by Aaron Judge, Andrew Benintendi, Alex Bregman and Yoan Moncada, among others. Cody Bellinger autos aren’t in the mix.
The variation cards include Blue Sapphire (# to 50), Orange (# to 25), Red (# to 10) and 1/1 Superfractors (two guaranteed in each box).
There are also 13 bonus parallels per box.
