A fresh football card season begins the day before the draft when 2017 Score football arrives. The first NFL licensed trading card product of the upcoming season will again come in hobby and retail forms with the giant-sized packs offered online and in hobby shops promising no less than 80 rookie cards and four autographs.
This year’s product will offer the largest base set of the year with 330 veterans and 100 rookies on the checklist.
The hobby jumbo boxes will consist of 10 packs, each containing 40 cards.
Autograph subsets will include Rookie Signatures, numbered as low as 1/1; Score Signatures, which consist of current veterans and former players and are numbered to 25 or less; Inscriptions, numbered to 25 or less and Draft Duals, which feature players from past draft classes and are also numbered to 25 or less.
Each box will have 36 inserts, on average, including Drive Team, Color Rush (photos of pictures in the NFL’s Color Rush uniforms) and Fantasy Stars, focused on players who make a big impact in fantasy football.
Boxes will also contain an average of five numbered parallels.
2017 Score football is due out April 26. Expect to see cards of players showcased in and around the NFL Draft, which is slated for April 27-29 in Philadelphia.
