Collectors who’ve attended the National Sports Collectors Convention in the past will see some familiar names in the autograph pavilion when the show opens this summer.
Tri-Star Productions announced the initial group of signers Wednesday, one that includes Hall of Fame players from all four major sports.
One notable signer we haven’t seen before is Alex Rodriguez. His playing career now a memory, the Fox baseball analyst was among nearly three dozen guests announced for the show, which takes place July 26-30 at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.
Other baseball guests who aren’t often seen at shows include Dave Winfield, Eddie Murray, Jim Rice, and former Cub Mark Grace. They’ll be joined by returnees such as Cal Ripken Jr., Frank Robinson, Ozzie Smith, Pedro Martinez, Lou Brock, Reggie Jackson, Pete Rose, Steve Carlton, Andre Dawson and Dennis Eckersley.
The show is taking place in the days leading up to the Baseball Hall of Fame inductions so most Hall of Famers heading to Cooperstown will likely be signing either Thursday, Friday or early Saturday.
From the NFL side, look for Eric Dickerson, Bob Griese, Jim Kelly, Barry Sanders, Steve Largent and George Rogers.
Hockey greats Brett Hull, Ray Bourque, Phil Esposito, Cam Neely and Jeremy Roenick will appear and former NBA rebounding king Dennis Rodman is also scheduled.
Mike Tyson will be back for another year, joined by fellow boxers Tommy “Hit Man” Hearns and Roberto Duran.
Former big leaguers Steve Trachsel and Scott Williamson will appear as part of the Wednesday VIP party, signing free autographs.

More names will be added to the list over the next three months. More than 100 signers usually appear at the National. Prices for autographs will be announced later.
