2017-18 Donruss Optic basketball will be out later this spring with a new twist on the standard Optic set issued earlier this season. Optic is highlighted by autographed Rated Rookies from the current NBA Draft class that will be 
signed on-card.
Hobby boxes will have the following exclusives: Holo, Blue (#’d/49), Gold (#’d/10), Green (#’d/5), and Gold Vinyl (1/1).
Each hobby box of Optic will have one autograph and 20 parallels or inserts inside its 20 four-card packs. Each case will have 12 boxes. There will be blaster and hangar boxes with their own exclusive parallels.
Other autograph content will include Hall Dominators, featuring sticker autographs of some players who have been enshrined into the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame; Dominators Signatures and Signature Series, each with serial-numbered parallel versions.
Optic will include new insert sets such as Retro Series, featuring images of former players from past seasons, All 
Clear for Takeoff, and Swishful Thinking, along with others such as The Rookies and The Champ is Here. Each has Prizm Parallels, some #’d/149 down to 1/1.
Optic hobby boxes will offer several Prizm Parallels, including Gold Vinyl (1/1) and new Velocity Pink and Velocity Black versions.
2017-18 Donruss Optic basketball is due out the first week of April with hobby boxes expected to cost around $85 retail.
