2016 Topps Strata Baseball will once again offer pieces of game-used material that can be pinpointed to the date of use through the MLB Authentication program.
Due out August 10, Strata will have just two cards per box, with boxes containing an autograph and relic and every other box surrendering two autographs—one on a relic card. A full checklist for the product is below.
Autographed Relics in 2016 Topps Strata Baseball
Those auto relics (“Clearl
y Authentic Auto Relics”) will be on acetate stock and include just 20 different players. Parallels will include Blue (# to 99); Green (# to 75), Black (# to 50), Gold (# to 25) and a 1/1 Red that will have things like jersey buttons, laundry tags or interior patches.
The Strata Signature Patch cards will have 25 subjects, numbered to 25 with Gold (# to 5) and Rivet (1/1) parallels.
Standard and Not So Standard Autographs
There will be over 30 different players on the overall basic autograph checklist in 2016 Strata Baseball with parallels including:
- Orange (# to 125)
- Blue (# to 99)
- Green (# to 75)
- Black (# to 50)
- Gold (# to 25)
- Red (1/1)
Dual autographs (# to 5) and 1/1 cut signature cards are also planned including a Babe Ruth.
2016 Topps Strata Clearly Authentic Relics
The Clearly Authentic MLB Relic cards in Strata will include major hits such as game-used baseballs (# to 3), buttons and jersey tags (1/1) along with standard issue parallels that include:
- Blue (# to 99)
- Green (# to 75)
- Black (# to 50)
- Gold (# to 25)
