The 2016 Topps Spring Fever promotion returns this week with free packs of cards available if you buy 2016 Series One packs or boxes at participating hobby shops and then make a return trip.
The promotion works much the same as it has in the past. Collectors who spend $20 from February 10-21 receive a Spring Fever redemption card they can bring back to the store later in the month in exchange for a five-card pack of Spring Fever cards.
The Spring Fever set has 50 players including some who unlike Series One, are pictured in the uniforms of the teams who signed them as free agents or traded for them in the off-season. Base cards consist primarily of stars and rookies.
Autographed cards are randomly inserted into some of the packs. Thirty-two players have autographs in the product including Anthony Rizzo, Carlos Correa, Clayton Kershaw and Miguel Sano along with Hall of Famers Carl Yastrzemski and Paul Molitor.
