It’ll be a fresh look for 2016 Topps Dynasty when the high-end product returns this fall.
Moving away from last year’s dark, artsy design, Topps will move to full-color portrait-style photos printed on textured and embossed off-white cotton stock.
Dynasty is an all hits product with just one card per box/pack. Each is numbered to 10 or less and every card has either an on-card autograph or cut signature. Topps will save you the trouble of buying supplies as each is encased in plastic.
Look for packs to fall around $225 at retail. There will be 12 per case.
A full 2016 Topps Dynasty checklist is below.
2016 Topps Dynasty Baseball will use the MLB Authentication program for its Game Worn Jersey Patches, all authenticated by MLB and those cards will
also carry photos from the date the jersey was worn. Each will be numbered to just 5.
The Dynasty checklist will include up to 100 cut signatures and there will also be Dual Relic Cut Signature cards. Babe Ruth and Roberto Clemente were among the cards shown off in preliminary info issued by Topps Monday. Each card will have a cut autograph along with a pair of relic pieces. All will be 1/1.
Autographed Dual Relic Greats will feature on-card autographs with two relic pieces from some of the top players of the past while the more standard Autograph Patches are sequentially numbered to 10 with both having parallels numbered to 5 or just 1. .
The release date for 2016 Topps Dynasty Baseball is now the week of December 7, the same day as the ultra-pricey Transcendent and 2016 Bowman Draft.
