If you’re all about high end and limited edition—and you’ve got a handle on your finances– 2016 Topps Chrome Sapphire has arrived.
For the first time, Topps has created all 700 cards from its Series 1 and Series 2 flagship sets in Chrome technology, added a dash of color and a few potentially valuable low numbered parallels and put them in one boxed set. A checklist is below but the players won’t differ from the standard set.
2016 Topps Chrome Sapphire is an online exclusive—and exclusive is what it will be with only 250 sets produced for a price of $1,500. It’s a special release for the company’s 65th anniversary year.
In addition to the 700-card base set, each box will contain two 1/1 Superfactors and at least 13 Sapphire 65th anniversary parallels numbered to 5. Players who have a Superfractor in the standard Topps Chrome set this year won’t have one in the Sapphire set.
