If you’re not into piecing the flagship set together card-by-card, the 2016 Topps Factory sets will have you covered again. Back for another year, the sets (retail and hobby versions) are scheduled for release Wednesday, July 6.
Each set will contain the 700 cards that make up Series 1 and 2 that have been issued so far this year. As in past years, buyers will receive a bonus that can only be found inside the factory sets. Inside each will be a cello pack of five cards and what you get depends up on whether you buy the retail or hobby version.
The retail version exclusives will include feature photo variations of some of the year’s more popular rookie cards, while the hobby set will have a five card pack of sequentially numbered parallels from the 700 card set printed on special foil board stock.
Topps will complete its annual trio of standard card sets with the release of Update Baseball this fall.
Online prices for the 2016 Topps Factory sets are generally $45-$55. You can see them here.
