You may not know all of their names now but chances are in a few years, some will be very familiar. The 2015 Panini USA Baseball product is set for release Wednesday with each box delivering a complete 80-card base set along with seven autographs and three Crown Royale inserts.
Online box prices are just under $100.
There were 16 first round picks in the 2015 Amateur Draft who played on the Collegiate National Team and the Panini product will include on card autographs featuring those players (numbered to 399) as well as the 2015 18-U team (# to 499). There will also be Red (# to 25) and Green (# to 5 or less) signature variations.
Tougher to find will be dual-signed cards numbered to 10 (with red and green ink variations).
Team USA is more than just the college guys, however and for the first time, Panini will include youngsters in the 14U and 17U National Team Development Programs with jersey swatches and autographs on-acetate in the 14U, 15U, 17U, 18U and Collegiate National Team Jerseys Signatures (sequentially numbered to 50) and Prime Signatures (sequentially numbered to 20) sets.
The base set will include 80 cards including 11 In Action photos and three checklist cards.
Returning from last year’s USA issue are the 15U, 18U and Collegiate National Team Jumbo Jerseys (sequentially numbered to 49) and Jumbo Prime (sequentially numbered to 25) set.
Panini has once again included Chinese Taipei All-Stars Signatures (sequentially numbered to 25) and Signatures Materials (sequentially numbered to 25).
