The NHL’s trading card partner rolls out its first set of the new calendar year on January 13 with the arrival of 2015-16 Upper Deck Trilogy Hockey.
The mid-to-upper level product will have four cards in each pack and eight packs per box for around $130. Two autographs, one memorabilia card and one extra hit will be inside, according to the company. A checklist has been released and is available for download below.
Fans of young stars Connor McDavid, Jack Eichel, Dylan Larkin and Max Domi will see each featured on three different base set rookie cards as 2015-16 Trilogy Hockey will have three rookie tiers: Common, with unsigned cards numbered to 999; Uncommon Autographs numbered to 499 and Rare Inscribed versions numbered to 49.
There will also be parallels for each including Black versions of the Uncommon Autographs that will be numbered in accordance with the player’s draft position. Rainbow Foil Relic variations will be randomly inserted, with Jersey (#’d of 599), Patch (#’d of 35) and Tag (#’d of 5) parallels.
Ice Scripts and Signature Pucks are back. Scripts cards are made of plexiglass substrates that will hold player autographs. Inserted one in every 14 packs, Signature Pucks will carry autographs from 85 veterans and retired stars as well as rookies signed directly on pieces of galvanized rubber pucks. Retro Logo (#d to 16) and NHL Shield variations (# to 3) will be in the mix while dual-signed pucks will show up once in every 432 packs.
The base set will include 100 cards with parallels that include versions numbered to certain career stats of a player, Debut Year Jersey Relics numbered to the year in which the player made his NHL debut and Season Stats Premium Material Relics, numbered to a single-season stat.
