The new season will be here in a matter of weeks but last season’s high octane NHL rookie class gets one more set of cards with 2015-16 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection, due out August 31.
If you’re into autograph and memorabilia cards, this one may beat previous releases of Ultimate. Upper Deck is promising five autograph or memorabilia cards per box, one rookie autograph including at least or Rookie Autograph Materials card. Every autograph in 2015-16 Ultimate Collection will be signed on card.
There will be five cards per box and five boxes per case. Ultimate is a higher end product with boxes available at around $275 each.
Among the key cards to look for are Ultimate Rookies, which features signed cards numbered to either 99 or 299.
Upper Deck will bring back its 2005-06 design for a Retro Rookies subset with autographed cards numbered to 149 or 249, jersey autos numbered to 99 or less, patches numbered to 125 
or less and the tag (# to 5) and 1/1 NHL Shield versions among the major pulls.
