2014 Topps Triple Threads Football releases today. The company is again tinkering a bit with some of the inserts including the addition of some 1/1 relic parallels with foil changes and patches and a couple of fresh case hits, but the formula remains much the same.
There will be two ‘mini boxes’ inside a ‘master box’ which will likely cost somewhere between $160-175. Mini boxes will contain six or seven cards, depending on the quality of the big hits.
According to Topps, each master box will contain:
• An Autograph Triple Relic Card Sequentially #’d to 99 or less
• A Triple Relic Card Sequentially #’d to 36 or less
• A Triple Threads Rookie Autograph Relic (single relic autograph card) #’d to 99 or less
• A Triple Threads Rookie Jumbo Relic (single relic card) #’d to 99 or less
There’s a 100-card base set numbered to 930 or less with seven parallels, two of which will be numbered 1/1.
Player hand stamps with autographs and ‘transparency’ cards are the major case hits in the product, which is set to release in October. Rookies ink their gloves and hand stamp jumbo cards alongside their on-card autographs, with all cards numbered to 25. Transparencies feature the league’s top rookies with jumbo signatures on clear numbered to 65.
