2014-15 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey Arrives

2014-15 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey is out with a fresh 200 card base set and another group of Young Guns to chase.

Each box of Series 2 features 24 packs with 8 cards per box with only a guarantee of two memorabilia cards per box.  A full checklist is linked below.

Rookie Materials, Game Jerseys, 500 Goal Club (Variations – autographed /25) and 1,000 Point Club (Variations – autographed /10) are among the inserts to look for.  Upper Deck is also marking its 25^th anniversary by inserting High Series Buyback cards from their inaugural 1990 hockey set. There are 15 different autographs to chase including Pavel Bure and Felix Potvin.

Not everything is focused on the past, though.  A new insert set is making its debut, UD Portraits. Within Portraits there are three levels, Veterans, Legends and Rookies. There are a two variations for Portraits as well, Gold (Veterans and Legends /25, Rookies /99) and Platinum Blue (Veterans and Legends /5 and Rookies /25).

The popular Young Guns cards return with more names added to the roster in Series 2.  Look for variations of the including Exclusives /100, High Gloss /10 and Printing Plates 1/1.

The 150-card UD Canvas Series 2 set is highlighted by 30 new Canvas Young Guns, 15 Retired Greats and 15 Team Canada Program of Excellence cards (including 2014 World Junior Gold Medal winners Sam Reinhart, Anthony Duclair and Curtis Lazar).

Also, look for 42 all-new O-Pee-Chee Update cards including 30 rookies like standouts Aaron Ekblad, Jonathan Drouin and Johnny Gaudreau.  Red Border parallels fall at a rate of one per case.
