Upper Deck is already releasing plans for its first season as the NHL and NHLPA’s exclusive trading card provider. 2014-15 Upper Deck Hockey will arrive in November with its popular Young Guns insert along with an assortment of autograph and other insert cards.
2014-15 Upper Deck Hockey will have eight cards per pack, 24 packs per box and 12 boxes per case.
A Piece of History 500 Goal Club cards return along with all-new A Piece of History 1,000 Point Club cards, including some rare autographed and autographed jersey parallels.
Clear Cut cards include all-new Clear Cut Captains (#’d of 100) alongside Stoppers (#’d of 100), Foundations (#’d of 25) and League Leaders (#’d of 10) with one card per case (on average). Each case should also include a Signature Sensations card.
Upper Deck Canvas is a 120-card set-within-a-set featuring 30 Young Guns cards found one in every 48 packs. Hand-signed Jonathan Toews Canvas autographed cards, numbered to 19 will be in the mix.
Game Jersey cards will include SP’s and Patch parallels #’d to 15.
n average, each box will yield six Young Guns, two UD Game Jersey cards, four UD Canvas cards, two Hockey Heroes 2000 cards, three Shining Stars and one Shining Stars Gold Rainbow.
Day With The Cup, Hockey Heroes Autos, Buybacks and other hits will be in the product as well.
Upper Deck is also touting the return of a 99-cent pack. 2014-15 NHL MVP will be first hockey product in several that has a price point designed to attract kids and set collectors who have less discretionary income. A checklist for that product is below.
