The season will be over when it hits store shelves late this winter, but Panini Playbook is back for a second season.
The 2012 version of the product will again feature Rookie Booklet cards, tweaked slightly to include one prime jersey piece, one jumbo jersey swatch and an on-card autograph numbered to no more than 149.
You’ll get one Rookie Booklet, plus one additional autograph and two additional memorabilia booklets per four card box.
The base set will include 75 regular cards, 100 Rookie Signatures and 35 of the Rookie Booklets with Gold, Platinum, Green and Black parallel versions.
Among the other big hits will be Playbook Materials, which will have 4-8 swatches of game-worn material spelling out certain words, all of which will be numbered to less than 100. Prime Jersey versions will be less than 50.
Rookie Playbook Materials will be book cards also containing between four and eight swatches of event-worn material spelling out a message, all numbered to 199 or less. Look for on-card autograph versions with two different die-cut phrases.
Rookie Signatures will include the season’s top first year players. All autographs will be numbered to 149 or less with Rookie Signature Black 1/1 versions mixed in.
Accolades Signatures include signed cards of all-time NFL greats, numbered to 49 or less while Fabled Fabrics include game worn jersey cards from past stars, numbered to 99 or less with Prime versions at less than 50.
2012 Panini Playbook will be released in March.
