Topps has released information on the 2011 USA Baseball boxed set. The 61-card factory set, which features many of America’s top college and high school players, will have the complete rosters of the USA Collegiate national team, as well as the 18 and Under and 16 and Under National Teams.
The set, which serves as a fundraiser for USA Baseball, also promises five autographed cards, two autographed “Relic” cards, and three un-autographed triple “Relics.” As usual, all the autographs and Relics will be available in a variety of serial-numbered parallels with the autographs available in Red (serial-numbered to 99 copies), Gold (25) and Green (one-of-one).
The Autographed Triple Relics will also have three levels of parallels: Red (25) Gold (20) and Green (one-of-one). The Triple Relic parallels will be numbered to the same level as the Autographed Triple Relics, with the Golds serial-numbered to ten copies, instead.
The four printing plates used to make the base cards are cut, inserted and 1/1 with 244 plates in all.
Eight sets will be packed per case.
The 2011 USA Baseball Boxed Set is scheduled for release the week of December 14 and should retail in the $120-$125 range.
