A familiar brand name is back on the market. This year’s 2011 Panini Threads football hit store shelves in late August with the company promising one rookie card per pack. This year’s design is all horizontal to showcase the action photography according to Panini. The edges of the base cards are meant to look like fabric from uniforms, it seems. The Panini Threads logo is in silver and again, the backs offer another photo of the player and some very basic info.
Since the product was produced before the end of the NFL lockout, the rookie photos are either posed photos or taken at the league’s rookie combine.
Box prices range from $80-100, which seems a bit high considering it’s possible that you’ll only pull one autograph out of a box (it’s also possible you’ll get 3 or 4).
Retail blaster box prices are the usual $19.99 with 8 packs per box (check out our video blaster box break below).
As for hobby boxes, here’s the breakdown:
Basics: 8 cards per pack, 24 packs per box, 12 boxes per case.
