Topps will lean on autographs, relic cards and parallels for its 2010 Tribute football product.
The company has released preliminary information and some images of what collectors can expect from the high end boxes that will be sold only in hobby shops.
Topps promises six hits per six pack box; four autograph multi-relic or autographed cards numbered to 99 or less and two multi-relic cards numbered to 99 or less. Six numbered parallel cards (# to 262 or less) will also be included.
The autographed multi-relic cards include:
Quad – Each NFL star appears with his autograph and 4 jersey
swatches on cards numbered to 99.
Triple – A player with an autograph and 3 jersey relics embellish
each of these cards numbered to 99. Sixty-five variations in all.
Dual – One autograph and 2 relics highlight numbered to 99 cards.

Red Rainbow PATCH: 1/1
Gold Rainbow: Numbered to 25
Black Rainbow: Numbered to 50
Blue Rainbow: Numbered to 75
Regular autograph cards include:
Classic Cut Signatures – 1 of 1’s
Dual Cut Signature Connections – Two players involved in
a famous gridiron play immortalized with two cut signatures and
numbered 1 of 1. Ten variations.
Quad – Book cards showcasing 4 players with 4 autographs. # to 10.
Triple – Three NFL heroes featured with an autograph from
each and numbered to 15 on five variations.
Dual – A pair of players, a pair of autographs and numbered to 25.
The base set consists of 100 cards; 48 rookies, 40 top veterans and 12 retired NFL legends.
2010 Topps Tribute football is expected to be released in late January.
