Two of the key cards in the 1952 Topps set, both in nice but "affordable" shape changed hands on eBay Monday night.
A 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle graded PSA 7 off-center, sold for $15,055 Monday night. The card drew 31 bids for the New York-based seller.
Meanwhile, Man on the Rock cards sold a straight PSA 7 Andy Pafko #1 card for $12,100. PSA has graded only 14 ’52 Pafko cards higher. The last PSA 7 Pafko had sold for slightly over $14,000. Considering the scarcity in high grade and the popularity of the set, is it possible this "common" is a good investment right now?
