Yankee Autograph Session Draws Crowd
ARod headlined a special Yankees autograph session just a couple of weeks after their 27th World Series title.
Still basking in the pinstriped glow of a championship, fans and collectors turned out at a New Rochelle, New York country club to get up close with some of the players responsible for the 2009 World Series win.
Steiner Sports sponsored the event, landing Alex Rodriguez as the main attraction. Some lined up hours ahead of time, just to have a shot at being among the first in line to secure an ARod autograph. They weren’t cheap, but that didn’t bother a partisan crowd that renewed its vows with the slugging third baseman.
Once known for his post-season struggles, Rodriguez was a big reason why the Yanks held another victory parade.
"I haven’t seen a comeback like this in a long time," said Brandon Steiner, CEO of Steiner Sports.
Fans and collectors gobbled up his autograph, according to LoHud.com, which offered a story and photos.
