Warehouse Full of Sports Memorabilia
When you’ve got deals with big league teams, everything gets saved, much gets signed and you put it all in a 35,000 square-foot facility.
Steiner Sports has bulked up its storage capacity.
The New York-based memorabilia giant has partnerships with the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, Notre Dame and other big time sports entities to sell game-used items and the company now fills orders from a new warehouse.
From signed, game-worn jerseys to stadium signs and seats, the place is jammed full of items.
While the memorabilia they corral is a big part of the business, Steiner’s autograph partnerships mean that superstars are often stopping by to sign whatever is put in front of them.
MLB.com gives us a look inside the big business of current day sports memorabilia with a look inside that giant holding tank, complete with a visit from Nick Swisher.
