The Arena Football League is bankrupt and now everything they owns is headed for an auction.
You can buy a field.
You can buy the league’s championship trophy.
Heck, you can even buy the whole league. Just be ready to take on some issues.
The Arena Football League, once a high-flying success story is now in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The league’s assets including the team names and logos are to be sold at auction November 25–the day before Thanksgiving.
They owe millions of dollars to banks, TV networks and others left high and dry when the league folded. The Sports Business Journal reports that the league has boxed up its stuff–presumably including game-worn jerseys and equipment–and listed it as assets.
