Upper Deck Strikes Minor League Hockey Deal

Can’t name a player in the CHL? You’re not alone, but Upper Deck’s commitment to hockey cards and memorabilia has sifted down into the Central Hockey League.

The Central Hockey League (CHL) and Upper Deck have entered into a partnership that creates numerous collaborative efforts towards new products and promotions for the next several CHL seasons.

One project in the partnership between the CHL and Upper Deck will feature CHL trading cards. Fans will be able to not only collect trading cards from current CHL stars but will also be able to create cards from past CHL players. The list of cards available in the first set will be unveiled in the coming months.

"We look forward to working with a great leader in minor professional hockey and their partners to enhance the fan experience," said Ian Jones, Global Sales Manager of Premiums and Promotions for Upper Deck. "This partnership will allow collectors and hockey enthusiasts of the CHL to connect with their favorite players and for the players to be more of a familiar household name."

More news about the relationship between the CHL and Upper Deck will be announced throughout the next few months including several web-based promotions and sponsorship programs.
