UNLV Holds Game Used Garage Sale

We’re not sure if they saved any Jerry Tarkanian-chewed towels, but…

For the first time in history, game worn collectors and UNVL fans will get the chance to purchase authentic Rebel athletic apparel as part of the department’s inaugural Inventory Clearance Sale set for next Saturday, April 18.

The "yard sale" will take place at the school’s football practice fields from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day. The school says"hundreds of items will be for sale" with prices ranging from $1 to $50.

Among the items for sale will be game uniforms, jerseys, warm-ups, coaching shirts and athletic shoes as well as other souvenirs and memorabilia. Some of the items will be unused.

"We need to make room in our equipment offices so we thought offering these items for sale to the public is a great opportunity for Rebel fans to get some authentic gear from their favorite teams at very low prices," said UNLV Senior Associate Athletics Director Jerry Koloskie. "Just considering baseball alone, we have multiple seasons of jerseys that we need to get rid of dating back to our days in the Big West Conference."

The school already sells some game-worn items on its website, with most football jerseys offered at $125 and up.
