Mr. Mint is feuding with a New York area promoter, while manning a table at a rival show.
Alan Rosen, who raised the hobby’s profile through his aggressive advertising and marketing campaigns in the 1980s, has never been shy about speaking his mind.
Rosen, known as Mr. Mint , is still buying and selling sports cards and memorabilia. However, he hasn’t set up at a National Sports Collectors Convention since a dispute with the show’s organizers over his table location a few years ago. Now, he’s at odds with another promoter over essentially the same thing.
According to this story in the New York Daily News, Rosen walked out of a JP Sports Promotions Show awhile back. This weekend, he’s set up at a competing show, admittedly trying to stick his proverbial tongue out at JP’s Jim Ryan.
Yes, the Daily News really wrote about this.
