Toughest High Grade 1966 Topps High Numbers

If you see someone walking around the floor of a card show carrying a want list and looking exasperated, chances are he’s looking for 1966 Topps high numbers.  The notoriously tough final series plagues many Topps sets throughout the years but in recent times, collectors have found ’66 to be an unexpectedly harsh challenge.

Not every card is difficult to find, but there are about a dozen that will drive you batty, especially if you’re putting together a high grade set.

The latest in our series of year-by-year analysis of 1960′s high numbers shows the 1966 Topps high number cards that have the lowest percentage of cards graded PSA 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5 or 10.  Below that are the total number of graded cards from the high number series as of two weeks ago.
