Late season impacts help a young player’s confidence–and his odds of appearing on a baseball card before his first full season in the majors.
Topps has finally wrapped up its big base product insert set with the announcement of the last three cards in the 2008 Baseball Series 2 Red Hot Rookie Redemption series. # 18 is Texas Rangers’ catcher Taylor Teagarden, rs, # 19 is Washington Nationals’ pitcher Collin Balester and # 20 is Lou Montanez, Outfielder, Orioles.
Each Topps Series 2 Hobby Box includes one Red Hot Rookie Redemption, which can be redeemed online. The cards are printed on Topps Chrome Refractor Technology.
The set is fairly easy to complete. A check of eBay showed nearly 100 Red Hot Rookie cards for sale, with most unautographed cards selling for less than $10.
The cards found in packs and redeemed online will be shipped to collectors first week of November.
