Topps is kicking off its 2010 Finest Rookie Redemption program with the hottest young slugger in the game.
#1 in the series of ten is Atlanta Braves slugger Jason Heyward. One of every ten cards will be returned with an on-card autograph.
Collectors who pull a redemption card will be directed to Topps.com, where they can unlock a special code and find out of their card will be signed by the 20-year-old rookie. Anyone who has already unlocked a code should log back in to see if their card is a signed version since the program was just announced.
Throughout the 2010 Major League Baseball season, Topps will announce the subjects for the 10-card Rookie Redemption set. Each Master Box of Topps Finest includes one Rookie Redemption. In addition, collectors can also find redemptions for Blue Refractors (#’d to 199) and Gold Refractors (#’d to 50) versions.
The redemption cards are already bringing strong prices on eBay.
