Topps has announced that it will return to producing a baseball stickers set–at least for this year. In early August, the company will release a product similar to what it offered years ago; a collection of player stickers and team logos plus an album to go with them–all geared toward the younger set and their parents.
The 2011 Topps sticker collection will include 270 players–9 for each big league team, plus nine legends done in foil and logos for each of the 30 teams. Topps will also produce a 32-page album to hold them.
The legends will include Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio and Hank Aaron.
Topps began offering its line of baseball stickers in 1981 and produced them for several years. The company’s soccer sticker sets have been big hits in Europe and other futbol-mad countries.
