Vintage baseball cards issued in tobacco products have been on fire lately and when they're high quality examples, the interested parties gather quickly.
A T205 Christy Mathewson card, graded 86 (near mint plus) by Sportscard Guaranty (SGC) has sold on Ebay for $12,500.
The card, sold by Yorktown Sports Collectibles of Virginia, drew 16 bids.
