Super Bowl Footballs Made Here

They’ve been making footballs for the NFL since 1941 and have constructed every Super Bowl game ball since the first one in 1967. Take a tour of the Ohio factory that makes the Super Bowl ball.

The place isn’t fancy. After all, it is a factory. But the work that goes on inside this plant in tiny Ada, Ohio is sacred to football fans. The Wilson Company makes each ball by hand.

The next time you pick up that ball with the NFL Hall of Famer’s autograph on it, remember this story from CBS News and you’ll know just as much about the inside of the ball than what’s written on the outside.

The Super Bowl footballs get a thumbs-up from two collectibles experts…along with something else.
