Stolen Phillies World Series Ring Found in Swamp

Sheriff’s deputies in Snohomish County, Wash., have recovered the 2008 World Series ring given to Phillies’ pitcher Kyle Kendrick in a swamp.  A man “known to law enforcement” led authorities to the ring, which had been placed in a container of Mentos cand

The man wasn’t arrested but a total of five people have been arrested in connection with the burglary that took place at Kendrick’s off-season home in early April.

Kendrick’s 2009 National League Championship ring was recovered, along with several signed jerseys and  hats he wore throughout his career that had been reported stolen.

The case has involved a significant amount of detective work that spanned several weeks.

ABC 6 in Philadelphia has more details on the case and the bizarre place thieves apparently decided to dispose of the flashy  ring–valued in the tens of thousands of dollars.
