Sports Memorabilia Shop Owner Glad He Took Plunge(r)

A Maryland man quit his plumbing job to focus on his real love–buying, selling and trading sports cards and memorabilia in his own shop.

Like a lot of kids who grew up in the 1980s and 90s, Steve Brown had a boatload of baseball cards and memorabilia. Life gets in the way and once he left the house where he grew up, so did his stash.

Watching some former high school teammates make the Major Leagues and appear on cards of their own spurred his interest in starting a sports memorabilia business and now he’s a Maryland shop owner, trying to make a living in sports collectibles.

So far, so good.
