 A new website hopes to bring the signed baseball into focus.
Autographed baseballs can carry the signatures of deceased Hall of Famers, big-time current stars, teams or even U.S. Presidents. It's a practice that dates back to the early 20th century that shows no sign of slowing in popularity.
Now, a new website hopes to capitalize on the continued popularity of the signed ball by creating a quick and easy link to sellers of signed balls while providing information about the hobby. Newly-launched Signature Baseballs brings the hand-signed baseball to the stage.
Baseballs are among the most popular items current and former players are asked to sign thanks to the white surface, the ease of handling and the quality of display once the deed is done.
