BC Sports Files for Bankruptcy |

A large sports memorabilia and apparel chain is hoping to reorganize after closing a number of stores.
Sports Collectibles Acquisition Corp., which owns sports memorabilia retailer BC Sports, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The paperwork was filed last week in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, DE. BC is a familiar name, especially on the east coast. It operates 49 retail stores and according to the court papers, 15 of those will close as the company attempts to reorganize.
It will be up to a bankruptcy judge to decide whether to approve the store closings at hearing scheduled for this Friday. |
