Players are Collectors Too
For every player who thinks sports collectors are big dorks, there is one who is into the same thing.
A new generation of Major League players has entered the game in recent years–one that grew up in the era when sports cards and sports memorabilia was exploding in popularity.
Collectors, or at least fans when they were kids, those players are now quite cognizant of the value of items but also more apt to collect jerseys, autographs and other paraphrenelia of colleagues in the game.
