Before the internet, when hobby news still arrived no more than once a week or even once a month, they were devoted to the baseball card hobby like no other generation.
The kids of the 1980s–and adults for that matter–focused on the hottest rookie cards of the day. Unfortunately too much of a good thing and some careers that didn’t quite go as planned have rendered many of the hot products of the era pretty much dead in the water.
