Remember that master set run of Topps cards from 1952 and up we wrote about last week?  Phase II is underway with cards from the 1950’s and 60’s getting bids this week.  Word seems to have gotten out about the 40,000+ cards that are being sold in the course of about a month.

One of the most important hockey cards is the 1911 C55 Georges Vezina rookie.  A near mint 7 example sold Monday night in this auction for $20,678.

That’s about $7,000 more than a card in that same grade sold for a little over five years ago.

2014 Topps Heritage is scheduled to hit hobby shops by the weekend.  This year’s set will reflect the 1965 Topps issue.  Click here for a look at pre-sell offers for boxes.
