No Hockey Card Lockout; Certified Returns in November

NHL fans don’t know when the season will start thanks to yet another labor dispute, but there will be more hockey cards to collect.  Panini Certified Hockey 2012-13 is due out next month and the company is showing off some images and information.

Boxes will have five cards per pack and there will be ten packs in each box.  A total of 24 boxes will be packed per case, broken into three eight-box mini cases.  Hot boxes will fall one per mini case.

Panini promises at least one autograph and three memorabilia cards per box but there may be more than one signed card.  Each box will also have one Mirror parallel (Red, Blue, Gold, Emerald and Black) and three additional inserts or parallels.

Two new inserts include Goalie Pulls and Face Off Dual Sticks.  Goalie Pulls will be pull-out cards featuring an image of the player in front of a net.

Freshman Fabric autograph relic cards return to a brand now in its third appearance as a hockey card product, with two in every eight box mini case.

Path to the Cup is an insert set highlighting each game of last year’s Stanley Cup playoffs.

Certified Hockey 2012-13 includes a 100-card base set with 20 Masked Marvels, 20 Immortals and 60 Rookie Cards broken into three different subsets (15 Certified Rookies, 25 Freshman Signature Rookies and 20 Freshman Fabrics Signature Rookies).
